Some areas served by the District have been experiencing extremely low water pressure since approximiately May 24, 2023. The areas known to be affected are connections along Durham-Dayton Highway east of Midway and all of the connections on Van Ness Way.
The District's contract water operator has been working to make operational adjustments to the District's pumps, valves and pressure regulation systems to identify and correct the problem and restore water pressure in the affected area. The water operator is still in the process of identifying and isolating the issue and is making progress, but the process is an iterative one where the effects of system changes are not immediately measurable and several changes may be necessary before the issue is resolved.
The District apologizes for the inconvenience and wishes to assure its customers that it will continue to work on the problem until it is resolved.
